Ok, so only had a few hours in total to shoot during a busy four day schedule of puja and volunteering at my local Buddhist Monastery over at Hemel Hempstead.

As it happened I forgot my fresh clothes so had to drive the 30 minutes home after the first day. But luckily (or as good karma dictates!) as I was picking them up ready to head back the postie arrived with my new Zeiss 50mm 2.0 Makro-Planar ZF. I quickly unpacked it and stuck it in my pocket with a Nikon/EOs adaptor.

These taken on the mk II N ... I like this lens:

... and these taken with the 70-200mm IS L 4.0 during a super hectic 74th birthday meal for the head geezerAjahn Sumedho, which involved maybe 150 people. I had lots of craic as it is hard to take the monastic life too seriously!

Very nice! I really like that Zeiss lens. I will probably end up getting one also.

I was originally agter the 50mm 1.4 but there was no Nikon mount stock only Pentax, but then I read about the Makro-Planar and thought it would serve two functions as macro and walkaround on the D700 FF. I'm really enjoying it!
