Extension tube

i hope this is the right place to put this

i was thinking of making an extension tube form a body cap ,a rear lens cap and some tubing of some sort(probably metal) was just wandering has anybody heard of this or seen one or have any tips on how to do it

I guess you can do this. Just make sure that is is light sealed and can hold the weight of the lens you attach on it! They are honestly pretty cheap if you want to buy some.
