So I purchased a template on the 20th. I still have NOT HEARD ANYTHING form them. Not even a thank you for purchasing or nothing. I have a paypal receipt though. Well it's been almost 2 weeks so I emailed them and requested a call back or at least an email. Got some automatic notification that I should hear aback in up to 36 hours. Well it's been like 96+ hours and still no word.

Why do they hurt themselves like this. If they offer a great product that people like you think they would be smart and hire more people to so they can keep their customers happy. Guess they only care about the money. I'm about to cancel my order...

Most templates are downloaded as soon as you make the purchase. No further communication is necessary. I have never even looked at the Blu site, but I would assume it is no different.

Well i still have nothing..

And I see it's bludomain's birthday so they are running some special sales and such so they are probably busy. Oh well, I made my purchase 5 days before they started their sale and i'm sure they anticipated the heavy amount of traffic so they should have been way fast to resolve my issue before the sale began. VERY POOR customer service.

Spam filters can eat emails. Call them. They have a terrible reputation for answering emails, but they were good when I purchased a template from them.

That's wrong, blu uploads the site to your website for you, after doing a tiny bit of custom coding to lock the template to your domain.

Yeah they sent me an email a day after I purchased the template and their message went to my spam box. I was supposed to send them info about my host so they have actually been waiting on me.

Now that they have this sale going on they have some cool new sites for cheap! I'm hoping they let me switch to a different template than the one I ordered!!! :)

I have never purchased a template that you could not down load. Why would you want it published with out properly re-doing it? Even package deals, template/hosting, I would download the template to customize before it goes back up.

I guess that is another reason to stay away.

It's a flash template, it only works on the domain/server you purchased it for. This is to prevent theft of the template. It's uploaded to a temporary area on your website, you log into the control panel, upload photos and write text, when you're done they send it live.

Probably best not to give advice if you're not sure of the answer.

Flash or not, makes no difference. Never heard of not being able to download it.

HTML templates are different from flash templates. First the site has to be prepared so it works on the domain requested, then it needs to be set up. Most people don't have the skills require to load a template, set up the mysql database all the settings are stored in, and generally get it running, so Blu does it as a service. Could the download be automated? Probably? Would their support requests go through the roof? Definitely.

Sorry, a bit thick tonight. I understand if they are having Blu re-do the site for them. The OP simply stated they bought a template. Never mentioned that they were to do services for him. I took it that they were going to do it themselves.

I purchase a bludomain template but because of the reputation for slow responses I decided to hose my own. It took them a little while to do it but I have a bluddomain template that I use and host it through godaddy.
