Nice Marie, I do think I prefer the first one. I have never seen such a life-like looking mannequin before. Well done, the poem fits perfectly.
many thanks Sandy
lol
I can't believe I put that poem there
whatever about the few lines ' thread softly etc etc '
I like that alot
this is interesting ....... the mannequin is a replica (I think) of an old time film star .....Caroline something. (will get her name ) sorry
its local. I just happened to be in there after taking shots of Vintage Rolls Royces parked outside.
inside there is a collection of dresses and other stuff bought at auctions..stuff which famous film stars used in films they starred in in the '40's and 50's
Audrey Hepburn's dress from 'Breakfast at Tiffany's is there. also Bette Davis stuff
the dress on the model here was the real thing
(must check out the film)
(shame on me)

Marie, I too prefer the first one. Thanks for the poem, as well

I find it so odd how she is posed like a real woman would sit- She looks so unposed that it is almost strange as to why they posed her that way. What I mean is... that position is not flattering in general to women and to see a mannequin that way is, well, freeing...
many thanks Yiskah , re what you say....I thought so too
it must be that the actress had a lot of sex appeal in her day that the pose suited her personality
even in today's 'looks' it all passes very much as regards style and appearance.
maybe in her day not as much ? (for some).
.... but the directors loved it ...?

Great model! Where did you find her?
ha ha ha
and Marilyn Monroe is in there too but only a picture
her famous red/white polka dot umbrella is there for real
she had a photo of her taken on a beach , I have it here, she is bending over holding out the umbrella which is actually there Frank
in a glass (L for luv ) case
lol
#2 looks a bit dark to me. If you can keep the hair in #1 & slightly darken her skin, that would be my choice.
thanks a lot for the tips

These things tend to scare me Marie.

especially when they are proceeded by Yeats.
I'm shivering.
ha ha ha ha
and it takes a lot to make you shiver Kenny
I can never get over how real those things are
would hate to have them in the house at night and bump into them
Yeats would turn in his grave if he had one beside him
it would be hard on him

Agreed. Mannequins are so freaky.
Did you guys ever see the mannequin episode of the Twilight Zone?
Shiver!

I did see the twilight zone sometimes
Kenny probably watches it all the time

many thanks
and for saying which picture
