I had a problem opening the RAW CR2 file in my photoshop the other day, so I downloaded the new driver for it. Now when I save from RAW to JPEG, JPEG is not an option any more. When I save to a GIFF file it is ~ 50+ meg per picture! Anyone else have any problems/experiences like this?

Any input welcome.

Thanks in advance,
Kevin

Check Image > Mode. Sounds like you're working in 16 bit mode. For jpeg, change to 8 bit.

That was it! Thanks a Million! I do not recall touching that at all, but I will know for next time if it reverts back to it again.

Dumb question, What is the difference?

Wow, thanks. Just when I started to think I was getting ahead of the game I have to learn all over again. I am sure when I get the chance to upgrade to PS-3 there will be even more stuff to learn.

Thanks again guys.
