I see that the software has features to address some of the more common HDR problems such as overenthusiastic tone mapping which leads to halos in the sky and burned-in dark areas.

not sure how well that works, but I'm sure they'd do a good job with that. I haven't upgraded to that version yet. You'll love it for $55.
