Can i used the onboard flash as those speeds? If so, how? You probably can if you are very close to a very lightly colored wall or subject. But, since the built-in flash doesn't have manual capability, you won't be able to do it in a controlled way whenever and wherever you want like you can with the 430EX or higher models. AAMOF, you won't be able to do it with the 420EX either since it's an auto-only flash, too (420EX doesn't have manual mode). ...Leo

Ca you walk me through the process so that it's a speed flash really quick? What exactly did you want to do with the flash going off like that? If all you want to do is fire the flash off at a very fast rate like in that video, set the flash to manual mode and the power level at 1/64 or lower. Put the camera into continuous shooting mode, preferably 5 fps, and the just fire away to your hearts content. Just don't fire the flash like that indefinitely or you'll fry it. ...Leo

In order for your flash to keep up with your continuous shooting, you'll probably need to set the flash to 1/16 power or lower so you may need to up the ISO so that the flash will be bright enough for a decent exposure. Also, remember that in manual mode, the flash has an optimal work distance. If you're closer than that, the pictures will come out over exposed. And if you're farther than that, they'll be underexposed. ...Leo
