These are a few more pictures from the first wedding that I shot, about 2 weeks ago. It was my sister...and I am by no means a professional yet. I have lots to learn.

These just don't seem quite "right" to me, but I'm not sure what else I'm able to do with them. Hopefully I've left the exif data intact this time. They were shot in raw, converted over to jpg to post.

Thanks in advance for any CC!

I think the problem I see is they all look a bit green, no doubt because of the surroundings. If you shot in raw it should be easy to correct the color. I would also adjust the exposure on the first one. The second one I would try and adjust the highlights and shadows to even it out a little more. The last one, exposure is okay from what I can see, the unfortanate thing is the cropped hands. But it has a green tint as well.

Shooting in RAW is great, it allows you a lot more flexibility

I am super cool n' stuff.

Thank you! And I agree, RAW is a wonderful thing. I will try your suggestions as soon as PS starts cooperating for me again. lol!

Agreed on the WB - a bit off, esp. on the third one. The first one is also pretty soft, and the second one suffers from poor composition - the big green branch on the side is distracting, and blocks the groom - but at least you didn't block the bride ;) The first two also suffer from blown highlights - maybe recoverable from the RAW files?

The first one is a lovely image - if you can sharpen it at all, it would be very nice...

I'd put most of these fixes more in the "in camera" category than the "post-processing" category - ie: there's not a lot you can do in post to save them, but as you said, it's a learning process, so next time you'll get better compositions, focus, etc...

Good luck and thanks for sharing.

Scott
