I bought a Phottix off ebay a few months ago and it has been a lot of fun for $35. Their model works as a wireless or as a wired remote with the buttons on the receiver. I've taken long bulb exposures with the wired release and I've taken lots of group photos with the wireless. It's now gotten to the point that the kids fight over who gets to hold the transmitter and push the button. Very highly recommended.
