Tom, I don't have experience with those two. I bought a Phottix off ebay a few months ago and it has been a lot of fun for $35. Their model works as a wireless or as a wired remote with the buttons on the receiver. I've taken long bulb exposures with the wired release and I've taken lots of group photos with the wireless. It's now gotten to the point that the kids fight over who gets to hold the transmitter and push the button. Very highly recommended.

Ditto. I have one also and love it. Worth the buy in my opinion.

The Ebay one looks like the Phottix Cleon.

I also have the Phottix Cleon and have been extremely pleased with it. You could order the one from EBay and wait for shipping from China --OR-- (my recommendation) order one from member TeamSpeed who is located in the US.

this seems like a much better product...since you can do wired and wireless AND POTN members say good things about it...
