Looks like the 40D and 450D have both placed in the top 5 in MSN's "The Best Digital SLR Cameras". Nikon is nowhere to be found

I wouldn't put much stock in those ratings.

Don't be so hard, Bill G knowns everything. :D

Seriously...

These types of ratings are important for the Rebel series buy. After all look at the #1 camera, I'm sure Canon is happy about this. MSN is where many DSLR newbies will go for advice, those of us with more experience, etc. know to go elsewhere.

Lol, yeah. Just makes you feel good to click a link on your homepage about the "best" SLR cameras and then see your camera  More of a light/joking post than a serious one ;)

ummm, having used all the cameras on that list plus the D300 and D70, I would take the Sony or Olympus over either Nikon too. Especially the Sony, thats just an awesome camera and the Zeiss lenses are top notch.

LOL, they said the A-DEP feature is a "boon to folks who are accustomed to compact cameras". I guess they never heard of stopping down the aperture for group shots.

Cool. Could I trade my 1DsIII for a 40D at PC World?

Agreed, especially because of the fact that Nikon, has, without a doubt, made some of the best SLR cameras of the past year.
EDIT: And the fact that the number one benefit of a DSLR, according to the article, is live view so "you can use it just like a point and shoot"! Yah!
