skate photo... need some help in ps

anyone have tips on how to clean up the hair in this photo. i want to edges to look softer...

I can't offer any help on the hair, but it looks like you should leave bigger gaps in between shots..it looks like he's overlapping himself in a few shots..when he starts and when he lands..a portion of the board is missing.

Hi Ryan....try using lowering the opacity of your brush when you are doing your selection in those areas that you want softer. This will make them semi-transparent. If you take your time and work in layers, you can get a great result.
The composite is already impressive. :)

thanks for the comments... it was about 8fps with a 1d mark ii, ill cut some of the shots out and see what it looks like, this was the first try with the new body so i just threw them all in. but thanks

Maybe gradually lower the opacity of the shots as you go back in time. That effect usually works pretty well and then you don't have to worry about softening the hair.

make a selection around the hair's edges, probably with the magic wand tool, feather it, and then delete that selection. make sure his body isn't in the selection.

I think you could take out every other frame where he's really overlapping. Good sequence!
