Hi all,

I'm sorry to just come and ask but I have a problem with my new camera and it's driving me mad.

Does anyone know what settings to adjust, or what mode to put my Ixus 75 to to get the colours to dance around a bit? I take alot of night club photography, and I used to have an older Canon that was set perfectly to let the lights sparkle while still allowing the flash to go off without killing everything around it like these:

Sorry for the reprehensible cropping, but you hopefully get the idea.

I've spent hours playing around, but I just don't know enough about what I'm doing to make much difference. Can anyone point me in the right direction on what to change, or whether to just give up and buy another type of camera? Surely I've not lost the ability to get this effect now that my camera is a bit smarter than my older one....?w

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

You're using Exposure Mode = auto exposure at a 1-second exposure & moving the camera during the exposure. So you actually have two different exposures there, one for flash & one for background. The flash stopped the guys, but the 1 second background exposure made the image around them blur.
