NICE!! I would soooo buy that house in the background for the sole reason of being able to have a vantage point to photograph these beautiful birds as they come and go. I like how you included the whole Liberator in this one. Did you get one made up similar for the B-17?

I'll have to go back and look at the B-17 stuff again. IIRC, it was flying light and was airborne sooner than the B-24 so I got kinda "caught" still shooting tight when it was directly in front of me. I know I have some 3/4 right rear shots but they aren't quite as dramatic.

I gave the airport office a matted/framed print of this 'cause they were kind enough to let me walk out and shoot from the edge of the non-movement area of the ramp.

The ironic thing is that both of these landing shots were taken OUTSIDE the airport fence but I figure they were nice so I'll do something nice as well. It's fostered a pretty good relationship.

Nice, I like what you did with that last shot. Very neat idea using the insignia/rivits as a backgorund.

Thanks...

The BG is actually the insignia from the side of their B25 "Tondelayo" which sadly, didn't fly that day (not enough riders...)

They were also supposed to be joined by a "C" model Mustang but it threw a rod somewhere east of AZ so it never made it to our local muni.

Forgot to mention that this was a transient visit only so these two beauties aren't around all the time.

Mostly it's your garden variety Cessna and Piper products. The number of bizjets and large turboprops at KCHD is growing, however.

Those are great shots! what airport were you at? I know they have some old ones up by me at Falcon Field, the Confederate Air museum is at that one, SE corner of that field I think. I still haven't gone over to see what they have there though.

Shot these at Chandler Muni back in April...

If you decide to head over to the CAF hanger, let me know and if I can go with, I'd like to.
