Cool, Bobert. I love the color of the light on the mountains!

They may, but I have not really messed with any PP on these. Just covert from raw and resize for the web.

Thanks Terri....that sunset was really worrying me. I thought I was gonna either get too harsh of light or none at all.

These are sooo beautiful !!! I love the contrasting colors between the lake and the mountains and the low light.
Been there quite a few times and always wondered how it would look like from high above. Thanks so much for sharing!

The lake is currently at 1104 ft elevation. That's 115 feet below full pool. (It's 46% of full volume). The drought is taking its toll (in combination with Southern Cali not conserving water as it should). see here: http://lakemead.water-data.com/ (external link) for the current lake level.

Best,
Dino

From what I understand, the folk in Vegas aren't exactly doing the best job of water recycling either (and we have our fair share of H2O unaware knuckleheads in AZ as well...)

Thanks ;). I never would have thought that the lake is 115ft below full pool. I think the drought is taking toll everywhere.:(

We have our share here in Texas too. The city charges the high water users a heck of a lot more money for their bill after a certain preset limit of gallons is reached for the month. I heard one time that one person got charged about 4 or 5 thousand for all the water they were using. Now there is a hot line for reporting your neighbors who water or wash cars when its not their day or not the correct time of day.

I hate the idea of ratting out a neighbor but water is far too precious a comodity in the SW. I have a neighbor who turned his yard into San Diego East with way too many non-native plants that need way too much water.

I actually get a tax break becuase my yard is totally Xeriscaped! :D

I feel the same way too, so I moved outside the city limits ;). Now, most all my vegetation is natural. All I did was put in 14 pallets of grass in the front and bushes near the house. I water about once or twice a week in the evenings and it stays green enough for me.

Nice deal getting a tax break.

No wonder I use it in stead of the F word.

A long time ago I had lots of gear - now I make do with one camera & one lens.;)
