In the pictures with the pink dress, I was the model. I edited the photos though. I just posted them for kicks.

With the white dress, the skirt was from a mannequin at Victoria's Secret. I took it when they were throwing it away.

PLEASE let me know what you think. I'm learning. :)

I like them both, although is there more to the pic of you that was cropped out? I think it might be neat to see more of the pink dress for more color.

Cool pix!

The white dress shot is cute, I like the composition. Slightly bigger versions would be nice though.

they both look a bit underexposed, particularly the white one. It can be hard to meter when someone is wearing white. Are you shooting in manual, do you know how to read your meter?

I am super cool n' stuff.

No! I don't know how to read my meter... do you? Because I'd love for you to tell me how :)

The first one is visually better. As lulugus said it might better if you widened the frame a little. There might be more interesting contrast seeing you in a pink dress lying on that dark background (grass field?). This thread is sort of what I am talking about in terms of contrast:

https://photography-on-the.net …?t=526971&highlight=wd-40

The latter photos show a model dressed up but with a very industrial/distressed background which creates a dramatic contrast. Not sure if this is what you are going for but if so this thread is a good example.

Pose wise although I understand why you crossed your arms visually it looks a little unnatural. 2nd photo as the guys said is underexposed. Basically you need to shoot either with a wide aperture, slower shutter speed or higher ISO (or some combination of the 3) to getting more exposure. When you look into the viewfinder of your camera there should be a little meter near the bottom. From a basic standpoint you want to shoot it when the pin is in the middle of the meter. That is supposed signify correct exposure. Hope this helps.

I don't care for the first one at all, but the 2nd is a nice shot. Here's a really quick edit...I bumped the exposure just a tiny bit (would have done a bit more if I had the raw file to play with) and then ran a skin warming and color enhancing action.
