Sad about Solberg shots poor focus...i got :rolleyes: and miss a moment.

I were also shooting at neste rally finland but didn't find any jumps :( cant go tomorrow because of work :(

Heres some of my shots.

Started photographing month ago so please tell me what i did wrong.
I tried to shoot sharp without losing motion. I used Tv with shutterspeeds 1/160-1/500
First 5 is shot with 40D with EF 70-300 IS USM and last 3 with Canon 40D with Sigma EX DG 28-70 f/2.8

Well done Mikko :)

Nice shots, i know you had some problems finding a nice spot to shoot, but overall well done.

You might try to adjust these a little bit in PS to get more contrast in them, some of them are a little dull in color. Also try cropping them a little tighter to get the subject to stand out more.
Using TV is okay, but for a good separation of background and subject you could opt for M also, that way you can be sure that you're shooting wide open when you want to make you subject pop more.


Those are my tips, but i am just a beginner myself and have no clue on motorsport shooting. Maybe someone with more skill and experience can jump in and give you some pointers.

btw. I can't see my pics from Flickr with Firefox??
IE6 and 7 works fine. Yesterday Firerfox works too...?
