Some tips for you when shooting at the zoo

Bring the right equipment
Be careful when shooting these zoo creatures with only 200mm. I'm very familiar with that species and although she looks tame enough in your photos, you never know when they could snap.

Be prepared
You should always have a way out in the case you ever find yourself boxed into a corner with one of these animals. Having a VISA card with you can be a very effective weapon.

Talk to the animals
Don't be afraid to communicate. Although you might think you're speaking a different language, try complimenting her. Telling a savage beast that her hair smells nice can really help when things are looking grim.

I think he was referring to your girl as the rock... You know, she is weighing you down? Or like the "The old Ball & Chain"

nice images...however, she seems to have a bit of a blue tint to me...but it could probably just be my monitor...other than that...nice job :)
