Here are a couple of pics from this morning with a little editing. I am trying this for the first time. My wife was asking what the purpose is but I didn't have a good answer.

How do you do it so perfect, I still can't figure it out how some of you guys do this. I know you need two pics, one open and one closed. But what do I have to do in photoshop to make it look like yours? Can you help me out?

Also, ive seen the hood one done when its more of a speedster with a lot of custom goodies under there.

Steps are:

1) take two photos, hood open and closed, use tripod
2) move open hood photo to the other photo
3) pick both layers and auto align
4) pick open hood layer and carve out section you want to see with the lasso tool
5) mask open hood layer
6) adust opacity

and voila. At least that's how I did it.

"Because I can"

nice shots! Never seen a rear of a ute done before. looks kind of like those impossible cubes you'd draw back in school.

I like the first picture. Can you give us some information on how you made the engine shining lighty through the hood?

You really should read the posts in the thread, like #5.
