Screw the generic fast food places. Sonics and In-N-Out are west coast IIRC.

In Boston, if you like burgers try Bartleys Burger Cottage in Harvard Square http://www.mrbartley.com/mrbartleys-directions.html (external link)

also if you like beer you need to go into Allston and visit the Sunset Grill and Tap. http://www.allstonsfinest.com/ (external link)

Over 100 beers on tap and another 400 or so in bottles. Plus their food is good and they have a huge menu.

We get Sonic and Red Lobster commercials here in Boston but none are too be found. Well here at least. Pretty funny.

Much better seafood places anyway.

If you are at MIT, you can take the free shuttle to the Galleria from the Kendall T-stop (red line). The Calumet store is near the Bestbuy entrance in a side street, may be 100m away. There is also an Apple store in the galleria. http://www.cambridgesidegalleria.com/ (external link)

I miss Boston, lived there a few years while working at MIT. I will visit Boston again in October or November. I am already saving up to go to calumet and get a few lenses :D

24-70mm. Wide is better in the city like everyone else has said. I love Boston, spent a lot of time there over the past few years.

Things I would consider;

Fenway Park for a Red Sox game
F1 go-karting http://www.f1boston.com/racing_arrive_and_drive.asp (external link)
Charles River for running and watching rowers
Take the "T" out to Wonderland

Have a great trip!

Oooh yes, get to a Sox game for sure! Also, I'd suggest just wandering the city, I love Boston and the innumerable things you can find if you take the time to.
