Not sure how long it has been so, but I was just on Costco.com to check out some prices on some lenses and noticed that the 40D body only is around $970 and with the 28-135 is around $1150. Thought it was just Costco but B&H is similar. Less than 2 weeks after their rebate, it seems as though Canon has dropped the price on the 40D. Good news for those who missed out on the rebate, bad news for those that rushed to buy the 40D before the rebate ended and ended up putting their finances into whack (a friend of mine ordered on a credit card before he had the funds to even pay for it).
