This photo must be so far beyond repair you'all must have thought I was kidding or rediculously naive? Midnitejam--The happiness in your life depends on the quality of your thoughts.

There needs to be something specifically of interest to be.. well.. interesting. At least your exposure is correct. Now just apply it to a subject.

kirkt Cream of the Crop More info | Aug 02, 2008 23:13 | #9 no - there is some pp as LD demonstrated, I just was inspired to add Nessie, I hope you don't mind. I apologize for messing with your shot - the first thing that popped into my mind when I saw the image was the series of shots over the years of the loch ness monster out in the middle of a patch of mildly rippled water. I just sort of went with that image. Kirk

I like your edits and your suggestions, but Actually, I was hoping to get suggestions that were more of a serious flavor...
Or this....
Can a reflection be a subject? Midnitejam--The happiness in your life depends on the quality of your thoughts.

I didn't think to put ripples on the water either, DUH! But really and truely, I hesitate to create an image with composits that I didn't personally shoot. There was no reflection in this shot, and fake reflections are so abhored by the masses that I don't even consider doing them. People in his flickr group have told Scott Kelby to stop teaching people how to do them![]() I think that what we (kirkt and I) demonstrated, with our attempted humour, is that in order to make the shot interesting you have to put something in it. LD and kirkt, I'm flattered to think you are comfortable enough to joke with me. I love a sense of humor, especially when it comes with a smile. I've learned much already from following your comments during this past several months and I look forward to sharing the forum with you' all for a long time. LeudceDeuce, Your edit of that shot would have been much better had your composit been of a mermaid (full bust frontal view - au naturale) Midnitejam--The happiness in your life depends on the quality of your thoughts.
