Needless to say, it left him behind. The texture of the "shell" is interesting in that it is flexible, yet still hard, and warm too. Had one that I finally caught in the act of digging up 2/3's of my flowers, so I shot it. Played with it for a while just because it was so unique. And was I worried about leprosy. No. Only cases have been reported in Louisiana and I think Texas. Heard some people say they are good to eat, but I was too chicken and had no idea on where to even begin. In any case, how did you get it to roll up in the first place?!? Elizabeth
