Two more of my bags. The Shoulder bag is from my 35mm flim days, brand unknown. The sling bag is from Sam's Club for $40.00, it's a Lowepro 200 look a like. Of course my question is which one is best to use. So far I seem to be bouncing around between them.

Only four being used to hold my 35 mm & DSLR stuff, then there are the point & shoot bags (5) not shown.lol:lol:

Meant to put this post in the "show me your camera bag" thread, as I thought the sling bag was a great deal for anyone looking for that style of bag. :D

Look at my list! I'm balancing 12 bags and loving it. I just got the Kata bag for hiking. I have this thing for having the right bag for the job and so, I balance it all. I take the F-802 with me about 50%, F-5X about 40% and the 10%, who knows? :) I love the shoulder bags because you can take your stuff out while standing and waiting, don't have to put the bag on the floor or on a chair.

i am having such a hard time finding a bag...even with that large post with nothing but bags....

i have 3 lenses, a 40d, and a cleaning kit along with misc items....no bag, which sucks right now because everything just lays around at my house...

i need to go to a camera store by my house, however, i hope they dont have a crappy collection of bags in the store.

i want to start off with a shoulder bag that i can carry all of my stuff in AND have some room for upgrades later on...

it is hard to shop for bags online...

Be sure to take your camera gear with you when looking for a bag. What seems big empty gets small real fast after loading gear into the bag.

yeah, i agree with that, but i don't know how i feel about bringing all my gear to the store with me...

i think i just need to buy a bag that can hold more than what i have...

ie, 2 DSLR bodies and 6 pieces of glass...i think that would be a good bag for a few years for me....:)

however, not ALL bags tell you what they can hold.

Billingham comes pretty close, If you don't need / want a backpack.

True.
I'd have a look at Billingham (expensive), Domke or maybe Crumpler.

And those that tell you, aren't always meaningfull... A 1D series takes up "a bit" more room then a 1000D. So which one of the two is meant when a bag manufacturer says "3 lenses and 2 DSLR cameras" ;)

it's too bad that it doesn't have a zipper top...i didn't think about that in the store....oh well.

WOW we almost have the same set up !!! I have the Kata SB 904 which is working great. The 70 to 200F4 L fits nicely. I keep the tammy 28 to 75 on. I have my 430 ex on the outside. Very nice bag. That quirky handle really comes in handy *L*
Good luck

I currently have 4 bags. I have a large rucksack which holds all my kit, A nova 5 for when I want a shoulder bag which carries most of my kit, a Messenger bag for a more casual approach and then a Tamrac pro digital Zoom 7 holster for when I want just the camera and a walkabout lens.
