Hi, does anyone do Pet photography on here? I would really like to do this and was wondering how you get into it. Like, do you go to groomers or vets and ask if you can set up a do pictures and give them a percentage etc. Also how do you light for it?

Thanks,
Teeny:)

i think most people just take pics of their own pets, no trips to the vet or groomers necessary, lighting for animal pics is kind of ambiguous. hope that helps ;)

Hello! I don't 'do' pet photography but i love taking pictures of animals. I have a lot of photos of animals, my pets and other animals, zoo etc. I also take a lot of pictures of other peoples dogs. I go out with my boyfriend and his dog and i just ask people if they would mind. I dont think you need to worry about lighting at first, just practice getting the animals in good positions etc. They can be a pain cause they move around all over the place but if you get on their level, as you might have read before, and try and get them to look at you using treats etc then you are on the right path!
