Armdrop Drag Racing @ Shannonville Motorsport Park

I don't normally do motosport as my preferance is concerts, but a freind asked me to come out. So i tried a number of different settings and techniques and these are a few of what I came away with. Unfortunatly the EXIF got stripped out but most of the pans where done at ISO 100 F6 to F9 at 1/60th. There is more here http://www.z-photography.ca/p896285​525

I forgot to mention that the close up pans I used a 16-35L 2.8 and the other shots were 70-200L 2.8 all on a 20D.

I like #2 and #8, nice drag racing feel and the motion in #2 is very even. Pretty good job for a first effort if you ask me!

Excellent job...wether it was your first or your fiftyith. I think you came away with some keepers.

Thanks guys. They do this race about once a month and I had fun. Considering I was happy with what I came away with, I think I will head out to the track a little more often. we have some amazing super bike racing at the same facility so maybe I will try my hand at that as well.

Yep, Canadian Superbikes will be at Shannonville for the final round on August 31st to wrap up this years championship and it should be a pretty good race given what I saw go down at Mosport a few weeks back. I'll be there with gear in tow

Will you shoot as a spectator at Shannonville or do you have credentials? If you shoot with creds could you point me in the right direction? I have no problem getting creds to shoot live bands but motorsports I am afraid I do not have any contacts in yet.
