35L as a walk around lens?

I used it on my 40D for a whole day taking my kids to an amusement park - I didn't find myself wanting any other lens at the time.

IMO 35mm is fine on FF, way too long on crop.
I'd use an 28mm on a 1D series, a 20mm on a 1.6 crop.

really all depends on what FL you prefer to be at...For me...50mm standard on FF is perfect, so the 35L on a crop is near perfect too:)

I wanted a smaller camera on me (my 5D is gripped, but not my 40D) and for what I was doing the FL was more appropriate on the 40D.
