Those of you who follow cricket may have seen or heard of Jeff Thomson - legendary bowler from Australia who with Dennis Lillee formed a very formidable duo. These pics were taken at a recent club cricket game in which Thommo's son, Matt Thomson is an overseas amateur here in the UK. A rainy day and unfortunately I had to leave shortly after he had started bowling at 7pm.

... and another (as I am only allowed to upload two pics per post!). By the way - he is 6' 7" tall and wears size 15 boots - no excuse for bowling a "no ball" then!

400mm/ f1/2.8 - the expensive one from CANON. I was in a bit of a rush with these and didn't have time to move around the boundary for the various angles I would have liked - and anyway was more concerned with taking pics of my own team - batters at this stage of the game.... and still trying to find out how to get the 'pop' which GMEN seems to get with all of his shots. Can't be the gear - it must be me. All help gratefully received,

Alan
