ok ok so I went for the cheap option off ebay, but I cant justify the pocket wizard price tag

Anyway the attatched transmitter/receiver fires fine for a few shots then keeps continually firing. I am using a 580ex if it helps.

Can anyone pull me out of a hole or is it just because its 'cheap crap'?

Many thanks in advance
Steve.

Does it happen if you have the transmitter turned completely off?

Did you try new batteries? These are notorious for being shipped with bad batteries. Not sure if that would cause the problem you are experiencing, but it is possible.

The canon flashes misfire on a lot of them.

I read somewhere that trying another channel may help. Also be sure that there aren't two receiver close together interfering with each other.

From what I understand it's a fact of life with the cheap ebay receivers. My sigma was misfiring on mine so I used a different (identical) receiver and it didn't happen.

Cheers for a swift reply folks.

Yeah it does it even if the transmitters off :(

I'll have to try the differents channels tomorrow. Just finished a late shift in work and am heading to bed. Will check thread in the morning to see if there's any more replies.

Thanks again.
