Not particularly great images, but wanted to play with some alternative bordering and toning techniques:

I want to rag the images about a bit more. Need to get some distressed and scratched up surfaces together for masks and brushes....

I like the PP of these photos. I really like the 1st and 3rd one. The 2nd one's angle seems a little funny and throws my attention of as though there was something wrong.

Good job.

I like the 1st 2, but I'm not really fond of the border on the 3rd one. Would you mind sharing how you achieved the 1st 2 borders?

Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback.

Border on the first one is from a scan of a filed out neg carrier print - not mine, it's a Flickr freebie. It's been ratted about with some overlays done with some watercolour brushes I've got. They're a freebie as well. I'll post some links when I get home.

The second one was drawn with a Berol watercolour marker (5cmx4cm). The effect was done by allowing the ink to seep under the ruler, then simply pressing, and dragging. Scanner wasn't working, so I photographed it with my 50mm macro and tidied it up.

Last one is just a painted goauche patch on watercolour paper, scanned and screened over the image.
Colouring is done with colour balance and/or duotoning.
