While I was traveling through Montana on the way home from Yellowstone last week, I stopped at a rest area where they had an exhibit about Evelyn Cameron, a photographer there from the turn of the century. She was born into a well to do English family and gave that up to become a homesteader in Montana. She carried her 9 pound 5x7 camera on horseback and documented life there and also took some of the first photographs of American birds. She took thousands of photographs during that time. That sounded really interesting to me, and although I unfortunately didn't have time to visit the museum, I decided to pick up a copy of a book about her
on Amazon. I'm looking forward to receiving it! Just thought I'd share.
