Yes, I am in! Are we going to do something like the "Photograph of the Year" contest that timmyquest did on the EOS forum, or something simpler?

Like the idea
How about a monthly comp on a theme with scores being added
to provide a G-series photographer of the year
Personally would prefer if it remained within this forum.

The poll sounds good to me also--takes some burden off the moderator as well as involving the community in the process.

How about some guidelines or specific criteria for photo challenge of the week. Can be either a certain subject or camera settings for that matter. All we have to do is go and get the picture using the above said rules. We can take as many pictures as we want (that's the beauty of digital) and post only 1 for submission :) .

Wow, I never thought it would be such a complex undertaking. Well, there ya go. Guess I was a bit er, premature with my shot, awayyyyy back there. Guess I will let it stand if I can, and just see what happens.

Sounds like a great idea. My only advice is: keep it simple and start slowly.

Its Winter - I'm not feeling so inspired - a contest would certainly get my creative instincts in shape for Spring! I'm in!

Sorry guys that it has taken me so long to get this thing kicked off - work has been a nightmare lately. I have a topic in mind for the first challenge and should get something posted regarding it by the end of today.....stay tuned.

Hello,

While it's not mandatory, it would be nice to see the rules you have in mind in advance, in case anyone would like to comment on them. It's better to resolve the rules before they appear in the first challenge.

Cheers,

Don

Yes i agree,

This could potentially remove any confusion or potential issues by participants, prior to contest commencement.
