Just looking over at B&H and the 5D is listed at $2,299, isn' t that higher than what it's been beyond even taking into consideration the rebate which was somewhere in the neighborhood of $100 wasn't it?

In a way it makes me feel good, I paid $3,799 for mine with the 24-105, 2 batteries and a really decent case a year ago. I don't feel so bad anymore, yes it's gone down but not as much as when people were saying there were places you could get the camera body for $1,599, now that made me feel a little cheated.

With the rebates, it was 1899 for the body, and 2599 for the kit. The rebate was 300 bucks...which would put the body at 2199. However, by what you are describing here, yes, the body has gone up.

Oh well...I've had mine for almost two years now...and with the triple rebates, paid almost around what a new one costs now. Not bad for 2 years' worth of depreciation.

So the kit was 2699 IIRC last week on amazon. then it jumped to about 2800, Now, overnight, the kit (24-105) is $2,999.00.

How is this possible?

that is what i already expect before the spring rebate over, after each promotion, retailers will bump up the price, to make recent buyers happy, but for how long??? probably a little over 30 days, when return policy expires.

Wow! I just check the prices @ BH and their prices gone up again. The 5D body is $2399 and with the 24-105 kit lense, the price is $3099. Something must be up with the new 5DMII or they're very proud of their pricing.

Yeah during the rebate, their price went up $100 I got caught in that and ended up getting the camera someplace else due to it.
