Does anyone use a Sony vaio laptop? I want to adjust the color temperature of the monitor but can't seem to figure out how.

Has anyone does this? Please share.

Are you calibrating it? Strictly speaking, it's best not to adjust the temp using a control panel. Leave it at native.

It depends on your purpose, I guess.

figmented,
How do I get to the video card graphics settings?
damo,
I am trying to create an ICC profile using Adobe gamma. I can't afford a spyder right now. An online tutorial on adobe gamma says before creating a profile the color temp should be set to 6500K. hence the query.

In my understanding, Adobe Gamma was made for CRT monitors, and doesn't work for LCDs or laptops - not well, anyway.

My rule is: If you have an "L" in your gear list, don't try to tell me you can't afford a calibrator. You're a fool not to own one already.

Sorry, I didn't mean to pick on you personally.

Anyone who has spent money on an L lens but thinks they can't justify buying a calibrator is a fool.
