Hello all, this bird was on my driveway over the weekend and I've taken some pictures... I have no idea what it is, however, it's pretty tame and it's actually still in my backyard. I have since put out some water and seeds for it to feed on... I guess it now has a reason to stay :) Anyways, if anyone knows what it is, please help!

It's a species of pigeon. Note it has a ring on its leg, so it's domesticated.
It may help a lot if you say where you are. Nice shot.

Yeah, I noticed the ring as well, plus its behaviour. I am located in Mississauga, Ontario. About 20km west of Toronto.

I believe that this is a Carrier Pigeon, although it could also be a Dragoon depending on the overall size. Either way it's a domestic breed for exhibition. Definitely an escapee and can be identified as to owner from the band.

Thanks for the insight. I've googled Carrier and Dragoon and both seem like they might be it...

That thing looks like it had a vulture for an egg sitter. :)

Can you get a good shot of the leg band? The numbers/letters will enable you to track back to it's owner.
