Well "poloman" I took you up on your offer and went outside this morning to shoot my first RAW image and converted in ACR...
Its much easier than I imagined and its a nice TOOL to have in the bag...Thank you for your help in making me aware that RAW ain't difficult at all...
Even though I don't know what I'm doing yet with them sliders I did manage to whip through it just to get a feel...
Yes there is a bit more definition and the non-destructive adjustments one is able to make is AWESOME...
I'm glad I took you up on it...
Now I am able to shoot RAW when I desire to and JPG when I desire to...
Its just another great tool to have in the bag...I compared it to a fast JPG processed image and if one needs to do a bit more manipulating RAW does offer that flexibility for sure...
It does take time and depending on one's output would be the determining factor for me when choosing either TOOL my disposal...
Its been very interesting...and like I said there's a tool of preference for every job and thanks for getting me started with the alternative...
I shoot both JPG and RAW (not usually the same time though, takes too much memory) depending on the subject matter.
