Looks like fun... I will be there tomorrow.
This will be my second go around at Oakland Hills, first was 2004 Ryder (disaster) Cup.
I also shot the practice rounds at the FBR Open (formally the Phoenix Open)
Plan on using my 70-200L and 400 5.6 and 17-40, that should cover it all.
What did you take?
If you are there on Wednesday, I will be the guy with the Taylor Made blue and white hat and a few white lenses:lol:
Should be a nice week.
Ram

what lens were you using for these?

Tony
I use Canon gear...have several bodies and lenses and am quite pleased with them.

Shot with a 70-200 2.8 on an XSi.
Yeah, not sure why #3 (colin montgomery) looks soft... I have a print out of it right here and it looks fine. I used Picassa to shrink it for posting here and it might've jacked it up... What program & settings do people usually use to shrink pictures for posting here?

Won't be there today but have fun... Seems a little cooler today so that would've been nice as it was hot & humid yesterday...

I had my 17-55 with me as well but didn't use it much... My buddy got some wide-angle shots with his kit... 70-200 was pretty much perfect for me. 400mm would be nice and I'd love to have one, but don't know if I would've taken it even if I did... Lugging the 70-200 + 17-55 + monopod and bag was enough in 90 degree, muggy heat.

Good luck and post some shots when you get back! Phil has been a no-show so far so he might be there today...

Nice job BigDaveE. I was out there on Tuesday as well. Looks like we were in the same general area early morning.

I've never been to a practice round & was surprised by how many people were in each group. Seems like each Pro had a caddy & coach. Add the tournament official(s) & I was almost a mod scene on each green. Sometimes tough to shoot the golfers with so many other people about.
