It really depends on the venue. I saw Radiohead in Victoria Park, London in June. Lots of 400d / 450d where being used.
The ticket did say no professional cameras. Which I think translates as no white lenses

Well, I seem to remember a line of advanced P&S cameras, maybe by Panasonic or Fuji, that claim to have good high ISO performance, but I'm dubious... Tony
