Waterfalls of Riva (Campo Tures, Italy). It was a cloudy day and it was raining: I've tried to recover some colours in PP without overdoing it. Is it any good?
Canon EOS 5D, 24-105L @ 40mm, f/8, 10 sec, ISO 100, ND filter 64x.

I think an HDR image would have helped...

I like the composition though..

Uhm... that could be a good idea! I'll try it. Of course it will be a single-shot HDR but the original RAW is very clean so it should work. Thanks.

What's a ND filter 64x?

I think you need to tweek the shadows or Blacks a bit to bring up the saturation without noise.

Its a lovely scene for sure and these kinda windy conditions can be a challenge with long exposures. As noted the detail is in this photo just needs some tweaking to bring it to life.

ND stands for Neutral Density: it's a grey glass that reduces the light allowing the photographer to use a long exposure time. The one I have used here let only 1/64 of the light to pass through so it reduces the speed of six stops.

Yes I did, and I forgot the curves layer, argh! I use Photoshop so rarely that I miss the most obvious steps. Shame on me! And Kudos to Miner that seems to have filled that gap. :)

Wow! have you adjusted only brightness/contrast or is there some other trick? Thank you, anyway: the picture now looks great!

Ah, had never heard of that way to measure before.

Well, it's the way B+W uses in its ND filters. They call it "filter factor". Maybe you know the exponential "optical density", which is 1.8 in my filter.

All I am use to is the Lee and Hi-Tech number system, which is .3 for one stop, .6 for 2 stops and so on.
