without IS, I'm ok about going down to 1/15th... But I'm confident only on 1/25th...

30 seconds.
Just needs to be pitch black and a manually fired flash.

Need FL's as well. I've done different FL's at different low SS.

Here's an example: 20mm ISO 800 1/8 @ F5.6

10mm ISO 800 1/20 @ F4

50mm ISO 400 1/25 @ F2.8

My Favorite! 18mm ISO 400 3.2s @ F9 ;)

technically it was hand held, but I was laying down and leaning against a rail.

I have different shots at longer FL's but I'll have to find them. My honeymoon I knew I had a lot of darker hand held shots. Yes, I found time to shoot. :D After she was tired out. ;)

The best I have done was 1/30 at 400mm with IS. But why wasn't I using a tripod? I really think that I need to use mine more than I do. I know it would increase my quality.

yeah and I'll keep cheating too!

Makes me think about all the "how ethical is technology" arguments I have heard. Perhaps we should just go naked and make petroglyphs. :)
