Hedging Lacewing Larva (5:1)

EDIT - The title should read "Hatching Lacewing Larva" instead of "Hedging". Thanks, Brian, for pointing it out to me. I've just seen too much "hedging" of financial position at work .......my bad

Took these a few weeks ago. The entire hatching process lasted for about 30 minutes. I had some other images, but they are not as sharp due to diffraction (I forgot to dial up the aperture and it was set to f/16). Taken with 5d + twin lite + MPE65. All are full frame.

And just two days ago I was staring at some of these little cases on the end of a leaf wondering what the could possibly be! Great pictures, and thanks for answering my question before I got a chance to ask it!

LOL..........what I really mean is "hatching"........ I think I've just heard the word "hedging" too much at work (related to financial derivatives) Thanks for pointing this out
