BAD Horsey! Bad! LOL .. You're supposed to keep the cow away from the herd.. NOT bonk him on the head!! (silly horse went after the cow about three times. ... needless to say, they didn't score well in this class)

(Open class (Cutting) - County Fair)

Thanks Borderfox.. In the 17 yrs I've been around cutting, I haven't seen a horse (during a show) that's quite this, um, ambitious. LOL. Sometimes, during training, they'll go through a phase where they might try to bite at the cattle... until they learn it's a "no no". .. Anyway, I think that nano-second had some luck attached. LOL

........... basically, the cow only got grazed.. he was turning (very quickly, I might add).. so for those concerned about the cow, he was still going strong after his close call with a flying hoof.

Wow! Well I guess he's pretty cowey eh! Guess they'll want to get THAT little behavior under control.... Excellent capture - love your cutting photos as always!

Thanks Barb & Kat. .. you guys ought to help me caption a comment for the bay .. LOL ..

Kat.. that horse showed in another two classes .. I kept waiting for his antics.. but the gal must have gotten him loped down pretty well between classes. He behaved and just went to work. Maybe he just strikes when he's fresh? .. I dunno.. I must say, though, that striking business was quite a surprise.. LOL

Hmmmm.... It's been a long day, I keep thinking Simpsons though. "Doh!" I'll have to watch a few episodes and figure out what Homer or Bart always say. Hubby isn't home right now and I'm sure he could come up with something.
