Don't you just hate when you get such a great shot at a mountain goat and they are in the midst of shedding last year's coat? Still, it's a nice capture of the way it is. The marmot is also sharp, but his face is in shadow. were these at Glacier NP?

These are some great and unique photos, love that matting, detail, and super background in the first. Great capture of the marmot as well, detail and background balance is a touch tight for me but the overall expression is really fine stuff! Love that first shot even with the metal bar.

Looking to help fund another's 5D II purchase with $1200.00 Canadian 4 their ol' 5D Mark I (then I can cancel my order, get some fullframe & save some cash) :DDream on

Thanks for the comments, guys!

These were from a quick trip up Mt. Evans. Colorado.

I'd figured these for Glacier NP, too! They have the same goats shedding the same mangy coats (and also marmots scolding hikers for not feeding them)...

I like the photo of the goat! The sun angle gives great detail on the coat!

I should have realized it was Mt Evans, a place I love to go. In 2006, I was there in July and saw shedding goats. When I went back in late August, the coats were all fresh and pretty.

Thanks, everyone. I'm just glad he/she stood still like that for me.

It's less precarious than it looks. They were just hanging out here:

Then they jumped over and went on their way. I'd prefer the wall to these rocks.
