That is a different type of barrel racing than we see around here.

Nice shots. That backlighting can be brutal but it sure makes the dust/dirt light up for dramatic pix. Don't you just love the expressions of ambition on both the kids and the horses.. LOL

Barb -

I live near Kansas City on the Kansas side and I shoot youth rodeos in western Missouri and eastern Kansas. We have the traditional cloverleaf barrel racing and then we have pole bending which is six poles in a row and do the in and out pattern.
