That is a different type of barrel racing than we see around here.

Nice shots. That backlighting can be brutal but it sure makes the dust/dirt light up for dramatic pix. Don't you just love the expressions of ambition on both the kids and the horses.. LOL

Thanks Playm. Yes the backlighting...very brutal! The expressions of ambition are great! I often wonder how some of these kids keep from biteing their tongues...lol

I live near Kansas City on the Kansas side and I shoot youth rodeos in western Missouri and eastern Kansas. We have the traditional cloverleaf barrel racing and then we have pole bending which is six poles in a row and do the in and out pattern.

playdays are fun to watch... all sorts of configurations of barrels.
