Well we thought the other thread was suffering so here is where we left off... Belmondo was talking about the view he has so I decided to add my views from up here in the great land. It was -10 and -30+ windchill when these pics were taken 18 Jan 04.

Hi belmondo,
Well interesting...I thought you were in more of the reddish/brown desert like Tucson type. I sit corrected. I am uploading a few more pics of around here. 10D and Sigma 120-300mm F2.8EX w/ 1.4x TC
Mt McKinley/Mt Foraker and there was some haze which the camera picked up...

"Hey Canuck...
Good to see you. Thanks for those shots.

Why don't you put them in a new thread? This one is getting a little shopworn, and a lot of people won't realize there's new stuff in it.

Bet it's colder there than here."

So...
Thanks! Hi to you too. It is awesome up here! I don't call it the Great Land for nothing.

New thread started!

Yes it is a lot colder here, but I wouldn't have it any other way. It was like -15 earlier this week (Wed 19th Jan), and no telling how cold the wind chill was.

PM being written and will be sent to you.

Thanks! :) That one is my favourite of the set. Now to get it again w/ a wider angle lens! This is just a small fraction of the whole pic. There isn't much of a field of view w/ a 680mm effective in 35mm terms. I was really after Denali, but thought the downtown shot would be cool for grins.
