Took this at a recent show. Shot in RAW, then some grunge PP. I really like this shot for some reason. It looks better fullsize. I have not been able to grasp resizing for the web without losing quality.

I'll bite...why does it say "right" in the middle of the picture? Really, really ruins the image. There are better ways to watermark your work.

Why, because it was quick. It simply says copyright with a black to white gradient. I will remove it.

Oh, fine! I just spent 2 minutes trying to see what Dan was complaining about!

Forget the ladder, where is the parachute?

BTW, that truck is crazy. I can't imagine what it would be like to drive it.

2 minutes!? you got off easy, I have been staring at that picture looking for the water mark longer than I have spent staring at those 3D computer generated images they used to sell at the mall!!!

If you're looking for a way to resize for the web, I love the Manyk web resize action (external link). He describes the process in detail and provides a photoshop action which you can customize yourself.

You have a very good picture there...but that was totally killing the shot. There is absolutely nothing wrong with protecting your images. The key is finding a spot where it doesn't destroy the work you put so much effort into perfecting.

Well here is how I see watermarks. If you put them in the lower portion they are easily removed. If you put them in the center portion over detailed areas, keep them semi transparent then they will not be easily removed. I have seen this happen to some unfortunate photographers.

The show was part of the Funk Master Flex Car/Bike Show in Ocean City, MD. I went the past 2 years. For a size reference of how big this thing was it had 19.5/54-20LT tires on it. I am 6'5" tall and I would not want to have to crawl up into the thing on a daily basis. I do have another picture of a funny 4x4 of sorts I will post up later. I think it was actually taller than this one. I'll get it up later.

pepperman: thanks for the resizer, I am going to check it out for sure.

Well I finally got around to do the pp to this like I wanted. This is my final image and will remain as so. This I will print at 16"x10" and mat/frame in a 20"x16" frame.
