I found an add in a local classifieds add for a guy selling some interfit lights, one is halogen and one is colorflash.

I'm interested in buying these and was wondering what the pros who know think about this brand? is it trustworthy and of good quality?? any known quirks or faults with any systems?

I'm meeting with the guy tonight to see the equipment so what should I look for to make sure its in good shape and quality?

and is this what I need to start a studio? he also has some stands and umbrellas included in the price. i think the only thing i would have to buy would be a backdrop stand with actual backdrops.

I don't know anything about them but if you are in a hurry, I just typed Interfit into the forum search and lots of stuff came up.

I bought a set EX150's off of a craigslist ad back in January. They were maybe 6 months old. They both died around 8 weeks later, within a week or two of each other.
Customer service was fantastic, They shipped me a new head each time I called, and gave me a delivery account # to ship the dead ones back at their expense.

They're a little flimsy--mostly in the stands--and there's some quality-control issues, but they're very minor things. Even though they feel a little flimsy, if I don't have the money to afford better units next time, I'll be quite comfortable picking up a second set.
