My last photos were under exposed among other issues, so I thought I would try something simple to practice on. It is nothing to creative as I am just trying to figure out how everything works right now.

Anyway, be as hard as you wish, I can take it. I am really wanting to hear about how the exposure is, focus, etc.

Thanks for looking!!

Can you pull away from the brick and shallow the DOF any further? In my opinion, the brick is too close to being in focus and distracts from the object.

I wonder why it wont take a picture that sharp out of the camera? I must not be doing something right.

You can up the sharpness in the menu. Click out Picture style -you can change the sharpness there. Otherwise fix it in PP.

Nice edit Flo!

Really, I will look into that now! I think I remember seeing that now that you mention it. Is there a downside to uping it?

Oh ya, thanks for the edit Flo!!! It does look very good!

No, no downside. But remember if you shoot in RAW this can all be adjusted in PP using Digital Photo Professional that came with your camera, or any of the other graphics programs that let you play with RAW. Obviously Flo also just adjusted your jpg, so good luck whichever route you take.

I will tell you a funny story about the flower real quick. My womans aunt gave us the flowers for a b-day or something. We kept it watered and it it stayed pretty for over a month! I could not believe it had not died!! As you have guessed by now, it was fake and I did not know it until I called her aunt and asked what kind of super flower she gave us.

*Paul slaps himself on the forehead*

Anyway, I wrapped some bamboo around it (its real) and there you go lol.
