Question about Polarizing Filters

Do they do the same thing that Polarized Sunglasses do for your eyes?

Polarized Sunglasses are the only sunglasses I will wear once I tried on my first pair many moons ago. When wearing them everything seems to be much more crisp(especially clouds).

Polarized sunglasses are all I ever wear, too. :)

Polarizers cut reflections from a given angle and are popular because they increase colour saturation for example by removing white/grey reflections from the sky on cloudy days. They also allow you to take photographs through reflective surfaces like windows and water, and are therefore one of the few filters that cannot be emulated in Photoshop/postprocessi​ng. This (external link) gives a pretty good explanation.
