40D + 400mm f5.6 shot at f5.6 so I was lucky to get them all in focus.

Thanks for the comments guys. I liked the shot because we do not often see these birds in their summer plumage around my local patch.

Did well on the focus. I take flock type in-flight shots often. Never gotten any to come out with this kind of interest to it! Nice shot.

I know what you mean 'striving' I am very often disappointed with flock BIF shots. Thanks for the comment.
